MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Leland J. "Mike" Lamp, 67, of Muscatine, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at Unity Hospital.
Services will be at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Darryl Erickson of the Grandview Community Church will officiate. Pallbearers will be Steve Bryant, Ronald Bryant, Jerry Lamp, Tom Hammer, Steve Hyink, and Steve Hammer. Honorary pallbearers will be Berry Bryant, Harvey Roswell and Robert Bryant. Burial will be at the Grandview Cemetery.
Mr. Lamp was born on June 20, 1933, in West Liberty, the son of Joseph and Frances Krotz Lamp. He married Jan Kannada on July 28, 1956 in Wilton.
Mike loved to fish and play pool. He owned Leland Lamp "Mike’s" Machine Shop from 1973 until the time of his death, semi-retiring in 1995.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Lamp of Muscatine; four daughters, Karron Stineman and her husband, Dennis, of Grandview, Anita Gilchrist and her husband, Robert, of Grandview, Lori Lamp of Muscatine, and Lisa Wilson and her husband, Kevin, of Muscatine; four grandchildren, Janean Stineman, Beau Hartsock, Myka Gilchrist and Averi Wilson; a great-grandson, Brandon Stineman; two brothers, Jim Lamp and his wife, Delores and Pat Lamp and his wife, Marjanna; and a sister, Rosemary Bryant and her husband, Robert, of Muscatine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, in infancy; a grandson, Eric Stineman; and two sisters, Betty Longstreth and Kathleen Cockeriel.
