Looking for the father of Grover “Cleve” Cleveland Lampley b. November 8, 1887 and d. Jun 15, 1970 in Enville, Chester County, Tennessee. His Social Security Number is # 421-84-1842, issued in Tennessee. His Social Security card is issued under the name "Cleve"



He is first found in the June 1, 1900 census in the Crucifer District, Henderson County, Tennessee on page # 23-A, living with his step-father, Isaac T. Johnson. He is shown as "Cleve" in the census records. His mother is Martha b. abt 1870. He also has a sister, Fannie A. Lampley b. November 1892. His mother was first married to a Lampley, and remarried Isaac T. Johnson, who has also been previously married.



Cleve is next found in the April 15, 1910 census on page # 215-A, 13th Civil District of Chester County, Tennessee. He is again shown as "Cleve Lampley", and shows to be 22 years of age, and his wife, Vina is 25 years of age, and they have a daughter Amy B. who is 1 11/12 years old.



Living near Cleve is Isaac T. Johnson, his step-father, on page 216-A of the 13th Civil District of Chester County, Tennessee. This census record shows that this is the second marriage for both Isaac T. Johnson and his wife “Mollie” age 40. Fannie A. Lampley is still living with her mother and step-father in this census.



Cleve is next found in the Jan 9, 1920 census of the 13th District, Chester County, Tennessee on page # 277-B. He is shown as "G. C. Lampley", with his wife Vina and daughters Amy age 11, Ruth age 9 and Lola age 7.



He is last found in the March 19, 1930 census of the 13th Civil District of Chester County, Tennessee on page # 112-A. He is shown as "Grover C. Lampley" and found with his wife Vina, and his daughter Amy, age 21 is still living at home.



He is NOT the Grover Cleveland Lampley born January 9, 1883 and died May 8, 1959, the son of John W. and Louisa Phillips Lampley.



He is also NOT the Grover Cleveland Lampley born February 1883, the son of Collin LaFayette and Sallie Oliphant Lampley.
