Trying to find anything on Organ Samuel Lamson born abt 1866 in central Missouri. He had a son Leslie who is my wifes Grandfather. Leslies moms name was Verty,I think she is Lou Verta Wadley born 1876 in Callaway County Misouri.The only sure thing I have on Organ is the 1930 census, he is living with his son in St. Louis. Emma & Paul Currier were living in New York state in 1880's, then moved to Canada. My grandfather's name was Jude Willie, changed to William. One other sibling was named Chauncey. I am researching the ancestors & descendants of Dr. David H. Lamson who was born about 1808 in Canada per various census images I have found. I 1st found David on the 1860 US Census for Lysander, Onondaga County, NY. David is married to a Clarissa (abt 1816 NY) & have the following children:
Decatur (abt 1837 NY), Samuel (abt 1837 NY), Harriet (abt 1850 NY), Nancy (abt 1853 NY), & Phebe (abt 1857 NY).

The 1880 census information indicates David's father was born in Connecticut & his mother was born in Denmark.

I believe David & Clarissa were also the parents of Commodore Lamson (abt 1835 NY). I 1st find Commodore in the 1870 US Census for Van Buren, Onondaga County, NY. Commodore is married to a Helen & they have a son Wesley (abt 1867 NY). Per the 1880 US Census, Commordore & Helen are residing in Hannibal, Oswego County, NY. This census indicates that Commodore's father was born in Canada & his mother in NY.

Later Census images & various newspaper articles & obituaries indicate that the families of Commodore & Helen Lamson resided mostly in Onondaga & Oswego counties.

I would greatly appreciate any information as to who David's parents were. I have a lot of on the descendant of Commodore & Helen that I can share as well.

Grey Lamson, age 58, died on December 10, 1932, at Bellevue Hospital, Manhattan, NY. He was a widower and a draftsman by profession. He was the son of Warren K. and Mary Lamson. His residence at time of death was 316 East 39th Street, Manhattan. Burial on December 13, 1932, at Lutheran (now All Faiths) Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens, NY.
Grey is buried in the same plot with 8 other people: Margaretha, Catherine and Charles STURZKOBER, Catharina PLEGER, Henrietta REFLEAR, William, Elizabeth and Louise M. BRENNER. I am seeking assistance on determining Grey's relationship to these people.
Note: Grey's death certificate has his last name spelled both Lamson and Lampson.

2) Had one child that I know of: Clarabell Rachel Hoyt. Married Lemuel Parker Hart on 12-25-1874. Lemuel's information: b. 4-29-1848 in Tuscola, Tuscola County, Michigan; d. 2-17-1933. (My gg grandparents.)

G. LAMSON, farmer, Sec. 21, 22, 27 and 32; P. O. Beetown; born in 1817 in Berkshire Co., Mass. At the age of 21, he went to New York City, where he lived five years, and followed the mercantile business; then to Grant Co. in 1844, and clerked for a firm for Warren & Shinn, dry goods, Platteville; then to Galena, as clerk for Dr. Warren. In the fall of 1845, he came to Beetown; engaged in selling dry goods and groceries until 1875; then moved to the farm, where he now resides. He was married, in 1849, to Miss Jane Francis, a daughter of James Francis (deceased), in 1853. He was married the second time, in 1854, to Miss Lucy J. Rodgers, a daughter of Amos Rodgers; has raised eleven children - Herbert G., Carrie H., Fred W., Franklin M., Harley B., Inez M., William B., Earnest O., D. C., Mary M., Otis F. In politics, a Greenbacker. He has been Town Treasurer for ten years; has held the position of Postmaster of Beetown for eighteen years; made an unsuccessful run for member of the Assembly of the Second District on the Greenback ticket. Looking for information on Charles W. Lamson and his wife, Jennie (assume Aldrich). Charles was the son of William Lamson and was born in Pennsylvania in 1862.

He and Jennie had two children, Harry and Elizabeth. Elizabeth was born in June 1893 and married Issac D. Everitt about 1923 in Massachusetts. They also lived in Washington, D.C. and retired to Vero Beach, Florida. They had a daughter, Nancy Anne Aldrich Everitt, born about 193. She married Lt. Paul Abbott Dickson in 1955 in New York.

Issac D. Everitt is the son of James Everitt and his wife, Ella Dill. He is the grandson of Isaac Dill and his wife, Nancy Axford who built my house in Hackettstown, NJ in 1868.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Help, I am stuck on this Ithaman!! He was born ca.1816, Ohio, (prob Delaware Co.) married an Elizabeth (Betsy) from Tenn who was born ca.1824. In 1850 they were living in Cole Co, Marvin Township, Missouri with brother Charles Lamson and 4 sons, Charles, 8, Alphed, John, and James (all born in Missouri)
A possible sister was Lugina Lamson (b 1819 Delaware Co., Ohio) who married at Elston, Cole Co, Mo in 1840.
Possible that Betsy was Native American.

I am looking for information on Elizabeth Willie, John Kingsley, and Lafayette Lamson. Elizabeth and John were both born in New York State. They had one child, John T. Kingsley. John died in 1850, a year after John T. was born. Elizabeth then remarried to Lafayette Lamson, who was also from New York State. In 1856, they moved from New York State to Wisconsin. Columbia County initially, then to Dunn County in 1869. Lafayette and Elizabeth had two children, Charles H. and Mary J. If anyone can fill in any blanks for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

I am looking for anyone who has information about Nora Lamson. My great grandma was Nora's sister, Viola. They were born in Alabama and their maiden name was Johnson She married William H. Lamson and had the following children: Dow E., Gladys E, William H, Roy E, Ina P, John C, Irene M and Mary M. Nora's parents names were Thomas Benton Johnson and Sallie (don't have a last name at this time) They are buried in Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Alabama. Does anyone have information on ancestors or descendants of these LAMSON brothers? Horace came to Ohio from Crown Point, Essex Co. New York in 1827 and purchased a large tract of land in Geauga Co. His brothers followed with their families arriving in 1832. Some of their children were born and their marriages took place in Essex Co between 1813 and 1837 so they were there for a period of time before moving on to OH. Two censuses show Sanford born in New York between 1813 and 1816. Other brothers show their place of birth as New Hampshire with an occasional Vermont thrown in to cloud the issue. Ezekiel was married to Lois PHELPS and Horace was married to Paulina HOPKINS in Crown Point, Essex Co, New York. Does anyone have information on these brothers?

He married first Hannah Whitmore, who died around 1825, leaving 4 children. He then moved to Cambridge Mass, and married Mary Lamson in 1828. They had at least 5 children: Henry, Catherine, Evaline, William and Mary. Henry and Evaline were unmarried. David Buck was an expressman, and served as Common Councilman from 1849-1852. He died in Cambridge November 21, 1877.

His father was I believe Andrew Lamson born 1783 and married to Lydia lathrop. All of the above from the New Milford, Litchfield County area.

My gggrandfather was James Hartley Lamson b. 1829 in Lysander, Onondaga Co., NY. He, however, married Lucretia Jane Paine. The only two children I know of are William b. 1849 and Mary Louisa b. 1851. James' father was John Hartley Lamson b. 1795 in Maine, perhaps Portland. Since I understand that the name Hartley is peculiar to this branch of Lamsons ther should be a connection. Does any of this fit?

James Hartley Lamson was born in NY. Lucy Ann or Luciana Brassfield was born in MO. They had three children: Cora Maybelle, Phelan LeRoy and Sara Jane. This family travelled to Oregon over the Oregon Trail in about 1866, and settled in Amily Oregon.Sara Jane Lamson was adopted by the John Sibbets family while crossing the plains. Does anyone know where Barnabas Lamson Jr. went after he fled Cambridge (or thereabouts) shortly after 1640, after he and Elizabeth Osgood were punished for fornication, and publicly humiliated and fined. I believe they went to Virginia. The "Virginia Lamsons" were mentioned in some relative's will, a few years following the public flogging, etc. Ans to Kay Lambson, or post. Thank you.
