My father was raised by his step-mother Genevieve "Jeanne" (Perdue) Thompson. She kept a very nice scrapbook of 1920 vintage black and white photos. Because "Jeanne's" parents Clyde and Flora (Lancaster) Perdue lived with Jeanne and her husband, my grandfather, Adrian Thompson, most of the photos are of the Perdue, Lancaster and Thompson family. I received that scrapbook years ago, disassembled it to read the backs of the photos and used my father's knowledge to identify many of the individuals shown. After all these years I was finally able to decifer all the relationships of the various people and add them to my family tree at Ancestry.com title "The Descendants of John and James Thompson", owner terrythompson3. I SPENT ALL OF TODAY UPLOADING ALL OF THOSE NIFTY PHOTOS TO THE PROPER INDIVIDUALS primarily for use by Lancaster and Perdue families. The Perdue's are primarily Clyde and his civil war veteran father along with Clyde's brother Lawrence and his wife Bertha and of course their daughter Genevieve Jeanne Perdue Thompson. The Perdues are centered around Marshalltown, Iowa, Minneapolis/St. Paul and Illinois. The The head of the Lancaster clan is Charles H. Lancaster born 1846 in Kentucky along with his wife Jane Campbell. Their children; Matilda A., Ora, Flora (Genevieve's mother), Wiliam Merritt, James H., Charles E. and Helen Agnus (Lancaster) Griffin.
