No, none of it. I'll share this info with my surviving paternal aunts of which there are 4. They never did much traveling or spoke about Louisiana at all? But we're still related in the faith.

Yes, we are related. My father is the youngest of Catarino Lancon children Jose Lancon. I definitely remember my grandfather talking about his brother Ernesto. I think I might have met him too, many years ago.

Phillippe and Marie Anne are my ggggg grandparents. In researching my ancestors, I found much informtion on the Acadian-Cajuns. You may able tfind more info at www.acadian-cajun.com. Through this website, I found a website dedicated to just Hebert's (http://www.acadian-cajun.com/hebertdes.htm). I have not looked for Marie Anne Hebert on this site, but I am hoping it can help.

Also, do you have any information on Phillipe's parents?

I am trying to find info on my 3rd great-grandmother Marie Anne HEBERT who was married to Philippe Eleonore LANZON.

I have info on Philippe, but its Marie who I am needing info on. I know she is the daughter of Jean Louis Hebert & Marie Victoire Doiron and that she was born circa 1793.

Can anyone help with other information? Cause of death, date of death, etc.?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Did you ever hear of Esther Castillo Lancon? My Grandfather Jose Lancon was born in Guanajuato Mexico. I have no pictures of him young besides his wedding day photo. Would you have any pictures to share of your grandfather?

My paternal Grandfather is from Guanajuato Mexico. He met my Grandmother Esther Lancon in Victoria, Texas back in the the Forties?
I never met or remember names of my grandfathers brothers. Please send me whatever you have. My grandfather had 2 sons, and 4 daughters. 3 daughters never married. All but one of his children are still alive.

Dorcaine Marie with his wife Elodie Bonvillain.

My grandfather was Edouard (Eddie) Lancon, born in Franklin in 1902. His father was Lucien Lancon, Sr.

Lancon Family History

I have made a discovery of a possible connection to a Lancon Family in Massachusetts. In 1900, there is a Joseph Lancon in Oxford, MASS.
It looks like Mary Berger (married to Charles E.) is a Lancon.

Is anyone familiar with or connected to this Lancon? The census says Joseph's parents were french Canadian. Were they possibly Acadian?

Hi Marlene, thanks for the reply I told my husband about finding Catarino Lancon and he said his grandfather Ernesto and Catarino were brothers. I am going to Laredo tomorrow will tell my Mother-in-law the news. My father-in-law passed away in 1998. We had heard that some of our cousins lived in New York but where not sure. My husbans late grandfather was Ernesto Lancon born in 1900. Married Simona Pena from Bastrop, Tx. I believe his father was Febronio Lancon from somewhere in Mexico. Ernesto had several brothers and one sister who moved to the north part of the USA. I think i remember Mrs. Lancon mention a brother-in-law named Catarino. My mother-in-law is Lucy Lancon from Laredo, Tx. who was married to the late Jesus Lancon Sr. We live in Austin. Let me know if we are related.
