DIED SUDDENLY AT TESCOTT
Ed Lane, of Tescott, who had been a rural route carrier from that office for the past twenty-eight years, died suddenly there Tuesday afternoon at four o'clock. Mr. Lane has been in failing health for the past couple of years, but was not thought to be in serious condition. He carried his route as usual Tuesday, then along in the afternoon he suffered a heart attack and died twenty minutes later. He was fifty-two years of age.
Funeral services are to be held this Thursday afternoon at two o'clock from the Tescott Methodist church.

EDGAR Brewster Lane
Edgar Brewster Lane was born near MIlo, Kansas, Feb. 1, 1884, and departed from this life Feb. 9, 1937, at the age of 53 years and 8 days.
At the age of 14 he moved with his parents to Tescott, kansas. From here he went to Kansas City and spent four years. Here he was united in marriage to Avanelle West on April 13th, 1906. To this union were born five children: Frances Arrahbella, Addie Arrahwanna, Euola Ardella (who preceded him in death,) Beulah Arvilla and John William.
He was a member of the R.I.C.A. and carried mail on the north route 27 years and 8 months and on the south route 6 years. He was also a Scottish Rite Mason, Valley of Salina.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, four children, two grandchildren, Betty Jo Morrison of Salina, and Jere Bond of the home, four sisters, Mrs. Anton Pearson of Lindsborg, Mrs. Ruth Christensen of Tescott, Mrs. E.W. Taylor of Ellis, and Miss Dorothy Lane of Lindsborg, Kansas; two brothers, Ernest of Tescott, and Otis L. of Kearney, Nebraska. He was a kind and loving husband, an indulgent and loving father who seldom left home except with his family.
Rev. H.J. Lorenz delivered the message at the church, assisted by Rev. Riley.
Pallbearers were Gerald Griggs of Delphos, Fred Todd of Minneapolis, Walter Griest of Minneapolis, Omar Joyce of Minneapolis, Bert Runciman of Culver, George Caldwell of Culver. Masonic services at the grave conducted by the Minneapolis Lodge 146.
