I am looking for information about a John Lame or John Lane born in April 1869. He married Ida Belle McCracken. The family had his last name listed as Lane; however, in census records it sometimes looks like Lame. I also found a marriage record in Adams County, Illinois for a John Lance and a Mrs. Ida B. McCracken. She is known to have lived in Adams County, Illinois and also in Crawford County, Kansas. However, they are very hard to track down. There were two sons Jesse and Arthur E. I am not sure if they were John's sons or not. I have seen them listed with the same last name, but have heard that they used their mother's maiden name (McCracken).
