Surnames: Langer, Bartels
Am seeking any information on my grandfather, Joseph/Josef Langer, born February 25, 1875, in Austria, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1908. He may be the only Langer stone-cutter in the U.S. In the 1910 census, he was living in St. Louis, Missouri as a roomer in the Bonacker household. In 1920 he was living in Harris, Texas with his sister and her family (Bartels), and in 1930 he was in Chicago, Illinois. In 1950, retired, he was living with my family in Roseland, Illinois. He left us in 1951 on a bus and we never heard from him again. He had his social security (don't know #) check stopped from being sent to our house. My family moved to California and neither his sister nor our family know where he died or where he might be buried.
