Langer family mystery

Hello,
my name is Marco Langer from Korschenbroich, Germany.
Does anyone of you have information about a person named Langer, who was the owner of a fabric of bicycles which was located in a city starting with the letter P? Concerning to the information about our Langer family I have, this must happened during the 19th century, maybe the early 20th century, and the person or his parents must be born in Lower-Silesia (maybe Waltersdorf, Freiburg or Waldenburg, today all belonging to Poland).
This is a mystery in our Langer family and unfortunately no one has more facts. Where can I find information about bicycle fabrics and their owner in the U.S. of the 19th century and maybe the early 20th century?
Your help is much appreciated.
Best regards
Marco
Am seeking any information on my grandfather, Joseph/Josef Langer, born February 25, 1875, in Austria, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1908. He may be the only Langer stone-cutter in the U.S. In the 1910 census, he was living in St. Louis, Missouri as a roomer in the Bonacker household. In 1920 he was living in Harris, Texas with his sister and her family (Bartels), and in 1930 he was in Chicago, Illinois. In 1950, retired, he was living with my family in Roseland, Illinois. He left us in 1951 on a bus and we never heard from him again. He had his social security (don't know #) check stopped from being sent to our house. My family moved to California and neither his sister nor our family know where he died or where he might be buried.

LANGOHR > LANGER spelling in Wisconsin, Michigan

If you are researching LANGER in Wisconsin and/or Michigan and you've reached a dead end...and if you believe your LANGER immigrants were from Germany or Prussia...please note that I have discovered a spelling change among my LANGOHR (var. LANGOEHR, LANGHOR) ancestral lines in Wisconsin and Michigan. The LANGOHR name came into WIsconsin through Milwaukee (1855-1860), then to Door Co., WI, after 1860. By the second U.S.-born generation, some had changed the spelling to LANGER in WI and some migrated the name into Michigan. Both names are pronounced the same way. If you find this name change in your ancestry, please contact me. This line traces back to Hermann and Therese Langohr. Their children were Carl Hermann, Anna, and Albert Langohr. (There may be more.)

I am somehow related to the Langers from ND and am hoping to learn more about these lines. It is said that my Langers were related to William "Wild Bill" Langer, the former US Senator from ND. My great-great grandmother was Theresia Langer born 1831 at Ober Johnsdorf, Landskron, Bohemia (current Czech Republic) to Joseph Langer and Anna Schmeiser. Theresia married Ignatz Jahna 1857 in Landskron, and they immigrated to Dodge County Wisconsin in 1867 to farm. Another Langer in my database is Emilie Langer, born 1870 in Emmet Twsp, Dodge County WI. She married John Krueziger 1894 in Watertown WI.

Another Franz Langer family, from Rudelsdorf (Rudoltice), arrived June 1853 in New York from Bremen on the Oldenburg.
Joseph LANGER, f/o Marie LANGER, b. 1862 Kunvald, Bohemia

My greatgrandmother, Marie LANGER, was born Sept 10 1862 in Kunvald, Pardubice, Ohres Usti nad Orlici, Bohemia. Her parents, Joseph Langer and Caroline SPILLER/SPEILER had a flour mill that was still standing until not too long ago. She married Emilian Hazel KONELL/KNOELL, born Nov. 1855 in Rokitnitz (Rokitnice of the Eagle Mountains), Bohemia/Czechoslovakia of German parentage and had Austrian citizenship, and after they married, they lived in Mladkov, 10 miles east of Kunvald, and 12.5 miles from Rokitnice. Emilian was persuaded to leave and come to America by Pius CHRISTEN, married to a POHL. Emilian's parents were Emilian Konell/Knoell and Josephine Pohl. Christen had been in America since 1886. Emilian left for the U.S. from Rokitnitz with one child, Mae. They arrived in America in New York on the SS Elbe on April 15, 1892. He was 37 years old. He and Mae went to Grundy Center, Iowa to his sister's house to await Marie. How I would love to know his sister's full married name! Marie LANGER Knoell, his wife, brought the other 5 children on the S. S. Augusta Victoria arriving on Sept. 15, 1892. In 1893, after one year in IA, they moved to Pipestone, Minn (SW MN) and bought a farm at Lake Benton, Lincoln Cty, MN (19 miles north of Pipestone, Pipestone Cty, MN). Why they left MN is unknown. They then removed to Nebraska and they stayed with Emilian's cousin, Mrs. Pius Christen, in New Helena, Custer Cty, NE beginning the fall of 1894 after a year in Minn.
Marie's parents are buried in Custer County, NE and she had a brother named Frank who settled in Hazen, Prairie Cty, AR. This family was Catholic. I would truly appreciate any information.

Isadore "Barney" & Fannye LANGA (later LANGER)

In the 1930 census, an Isadore Langa (who later went by Langer) appears, with his wife, Fannye, and 4 children, Roberta, HelenRuth, Morton, and Louise. Census records show all children were born in PA, father in what looks like Romania, and mother in Ohio. At some time shortly after the 1930 census family moved to Springfield, Illinois, where Isadore (also known as "Barney) owned a men's clothing store for 30 years. I am seeking additional information on this family, including any other spellings for the last name, as I cannot locate them in any census other than 1930, and since a 15 yr. old was born in PA, they must have been there in 1920.

LANGOHR, Henrietta - 1896 obit - Allegany, NY

Looking for the siblings/parents/descendants of Henrietta Langohr and Johann Georg Lahr (aka George J. Lahr, Sr.) who married in NYC, received naturalization in Erie Co., OH, and ultimately settled in Allegany (town), Cattaraugus Co., NY. Maybe some of the Langohr descendants changed the name to Langer? Here's the 1896 obit from the Allegany, NY, newspaper:

Title = A Sudden Death

Text = Miss Henrietta Langohr was born in Torgau, Prussia, Setpember 26, 1830, and died in Allegany, NY, Tuesday evening June 30, 1896, of heart failure while sitting in her chair. Death came very unexpectedly and broke up the family circle.

She was married to Mr. George Lahr in New York on Mary 30, 1856, and moved to Allegany where they have lived about forty years. Mrs. Lahr was an affectionate wife, a loving mother, and a kind neighbor. She leaves a husband who is very feeble in health, also four daughters and three sons who mourn their great loss.

The funeral services were held at her late residence on First Street on Friday, July 3rd at 2:30 p.m. and by special requrest were quite brief; Rev. W. W. Browne officiating, after which her remains were laid to rest in the beautiful cemetery on the hill there to await the Resurrection Morning. God grant that the entire family may be reunited in heaven.

I am going to check with the Rock County Register of Deed office, but thought perhaps someone might have a copy of the obituary from the Janesville Gazette?
Appreciate any communication if you have any ideas.
Thank you.
Descendants of Jakub and Marie (Sebranek) Lang(e)r

Marie Sebranek Langer is the sister of my g-g-grandfather. She and her husband Jakub married in 1861. They immigrated in 1865 from Bukovina, Bohemia, with Jakub's son (Wenzel) from his first marriage. They possibly settled in Iowa first and later in Vernon/Richland Counties of Wisconsin. The Langers had more children: Joseph, Frank, Jacob, Anna (married a Hotek?), Mary (married Joseph Wopat). I no other leads on this family except the spelling may have originally been LANGR. Any help would be appreciated!
