Rank and organization: Surgeon, U.S. Navy. Born: 14 May 1873, Lynchburg, Va. Accredited to: Virginia. G.O. No.: 177, 4 December 1915. Citation: For extraordinary heroism in battle, engagement of Vera Cruz, 22 April 1914. Surg. Langhorne carried a wounded man from the front of the Naval Academy while under heavy fire.

Burial: Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA

Born: 1873 LYNCHBURG, VA

Died: 1948

Does anyone have a picture of Anne Frances Langhorne b. 1842/43 in Campbell Co., VA or her husband, Edward Sixtus Hutter b. 1839 in Lynchburg, VA? They were my maternal grandmother's maternal grandparents. Thanks in advance.

LANGHORNE - In this city, Sept. 16, 1937, Harry B. Langhorne, beloved husband of Florence A. Langhorne; a native of Helena, Mont. A member of Court San Francisco, No. 10, Independent Order of Foresters.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral services at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 18, under the auspices of Court San Francisco, No. 10, Independent Order of Foresters, at Gray's, Divisadero st. at Post.

James K. and Fannie Hill Langhorne of Portsmouth VA

Looking for anyone who connects with this family. I found a listing that a James K. Langhorne is buried in the Civil War Cemetery at Cedar Grove, Portsmouth VA. Does anyone know if this is the same person.

In the 1880 census of Portsmouth, Norfolk Co. VA I found Fannie E. listed with James K. and their daughter Fannie L.

I would love to know if there were any other children from that union. I have sibling info and her parents and Hill and Wells grandparent info.

Hoping we can make a connection. Thanks for any help!
