Kate L. (Piper) Langill

I am searching for the biological parents of Kate L. Piper who married Howard Langill in Plymouth, NH on 20 May 1901.
She was born: Kate L. Merrill and adopted by James William Piper and Melissa Lillian Sawyer in Grafton County, New Hampshire in 1883. Problem is, the adoption records are not opened.
Any further information on the Merrill family she was born to in Woodstock, NH would be greatly appreciated.

He was married to Mary (1873), and they had a daughter, Anna or Annie M (1896).
Daniel and Mary were from Canada but last lived in Winchester, MA USA.
Anna/Annie had several children: Daniel C Pearson, John S Pearson, Frances R Pearson, James J Pearson and Mary G Pearson.

I am looking for decendants of William Langill born 1856 and Jane A McLellan born 1862 married Pictou 13 Aug 1877. Going by the death certificates of one of their other son's Herbert B Langill William was from River John and Jane was born in Barry, Ontario (could be Barry's Bay) I decend from their son Eugene C Langill born 1888 whom I have always known as Clifford Eugene Langille, he married Lousie Annie Gratto. I know most info says Clifford is the son of William H Langille and Janet Weir but I have information that indicates this not to be true as he had 6 siblings that were listed in the family bible and passed down to me. Since then I have found another for a total of 7. No where do any of these children show up on any family tree I have seen to date.

I am searching information on Mary Langill, daughter of William & Lucy Langill of Pictou County, Nova Scotia. Mary born ca 1840 in Pictou Co, N.S. She married Michael Connor on March 24, 1870 in Halifax. Michael was a soldier, born ca 1842 in Ireland. His parents were James & Cicely? I have no further information on Mary.

I am looking for information on descendants of James Frederick Langill, born February 08, 1880 in St. John, New Brunswick. I believe he was born James F. McCarron and changed his name to Langill in Worcester Co, Mass. He was adopted by Ephraim Langill & Lois A. McDonald of Gardner, and Worcester City, Massachusetts. James married Virginia C. Richardson on February 03, 1903 in Wakefield, Belfast, Maine. James is listed with wife Eve E. in Revere, Suffolk Co Mass in 1910 census. James was a printer. He registered for WWII in 1942, living in Arlington, Middlesex Co, Mass. and was a printer for the Boston Globe paper.

I have transcribed all of the Langill land deeds of Pictou County from 1815- 1861, and various others between 1861 to 1878.

As I was repremanded when I posted these deeds to this web site, I have not posted them.

James Dawson to Thomas Langill
Registered March 21 1840
At 2 O’clock PM on the oath of James W. Dawson

Know all men by these presents that I James Dawson, bookseller, of Pictou, in the County of Pictou, in the province of Nova Scotia in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds the receipt thereof I hereby acknowledge.

Hath granted, bargained, sold, and enfeoffed onto Thomas Langill of River John, in the county aforesaid, his heirs and assigns all that certain lot of land being on the west side of River John , abutted and bounded as follows

Beginning at a hemlock stub on the western bank of the said River John, marked ED, being the full north east corner of a lot of land occupied by one George Perrin junior, thence west 112 chains to a dry pine tree marked EDAT, thence 9 chains 10 links t a small hemlock, thence east 111 chains to the river thence up stream to the place of beginning, containing 100 acres with the appurtenances

To have and to hold, the same to him the said Thomas Langill his heirs and assigns forever

Witness my hand and seal this 21st day of March AD 1841

Know all men by these presents that I Matthew Langill of River John in the County of Pictou, Yeoman, in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds to me in hand paid the receipt whereof I hereby acknowledged

Hath granted, bargained, sold, enfeoffed, unto James Langill (G F’s son) his heirs , executors and administrators a certain lot of land, situate on the harbour of River John bounded northernly by the said harbour, easternly by a town lot belonging to John Joudrey Sr, south easternly by the said Joudrey’s farm lot and westernly by William Goulds town lot and a small lot conveyed to James Kitchen Sr and others. containing four acres more or less

Together with all the buildings, privileges and appurtenances .

To have and to hold, the same onto him the said James Langill his heirs executors and administrators In trust never the less for his son William Taylor Langill, his heirs and assigns for his and their only proper use benefit forever

Know all that I William Langill of River John, County of Pictou, Esquire, and Eunice his wife, for the sum of eight pounds paid to me by Alexander Sutherland of the same place, Yeoman, the receipt of which is acknowledged

Hath given, granted, bargained, and sold and by these presents do give, grant, bargain, and sell unto the said Alexander Sutherland his heirs and assigns all that certain piece or strip of land, on the north side of Gratto Brook, so called, located and beginning about 100 yards above the bridge on the main road, here the said Alexander Sutherland intends to build a saw mill and to include and contain as much land as the pond for said saw mill will or may allow at any time overflow, together with all the buildings, water, privileges, rights and appurtenances to the premises belonging .

To have and to hold the same to him the said Alexander Sutherland and his heirs and assigns forever, and I, the said William Langill Esquire, covenant and agree with the said Alexander Sutherland, for myself and my heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the said premises against the lawful claims of any persons or persons whomsoever claiming the same or any part and parcel thereof

In witness whereof, we the parties hereunto have set our hands and seals, the 4th day of March, 1852

They are the last ones of my family tree to identify. (i.e: descendants of William Langill
and Lucy McPherson)

George Childs Langill (son of Ephraim Langill) was born in in 1891 in Worcester, Mass,
and died in 1980 in Worcester.

Paul Edwards Langill,born Oct. 25, 1925 in Shrewsbury, Mass, and his 2 children: Julia
Gibson Langill (Belmonte), born 1956 in Worcester, Mass., and Beth Alice Langill
(Holden), born 1957 in Worcester Mass.

Albert George Langill, born Aug 4, 1928 in Worcester, Mass, his child Peter Paul Langill,
born 1962 in Putnam. Ct.
