I'm searching for info on the following family: Jean Baptiste LaPlante b abt 1804 in Canada, d 1875, m Marie LaCasse/r b abt 1804 in Canada, d 1895.

The children I know of all b in Canada:
Elizabeth b abt 1824 married Francis Richard? b abt 1827.

Olivia b abt 1828 married Antoine Papineau b abt 1824.

Louis LaPlante b abt 1831 married Sophia b abt 1836. They had a son Alfred b abt 1859. Louis died from drowning July 10, 1872 in Canada, he's buried in Buffalo NY. I'd like to know more about his death.

Eugenia (Jane) b abt 1835 married Oliver Larreau b abt 1828.

Jean (John) b abt 1836 married Sophie Laroque

Francis (Frank) b abt 1838 married Adelaide Grignon b abt 1837. Frank died in Chicago Illinois in 1916. Adele died in Buffalo NY in 1869. Their son Frank died in 1915, also in Chicago. I'm descended from this family.

Clara/Clarissa b abt 1841 married to Francis Larreau b abt 1841. Clara died in 1928 in Chicago Illinois. I would like to know more about her family.

Joseph LaPlante b abt 1844, married ? died 1875 in Buffalo NY

I'm curious about the Chicago/Buffalo connection and I'd like to hear from other descendants. I do not know where in Canada the family came from, and I suspect LaPlante might have been a dit name. Thank you!
