Hi there
How exciting. I also have Mary Ann Lark (married to Henry Hart) in my tree and she was born in 1st August, 1836 in Dunterton (a few miles NW of Tavistock). I was worried when I saw her census records in 1871 that she was at a Union Workhouse - didn't realise that she and Henry were Master and Matron.
I have lots of info on her and her husband, and you are very welcome to come into our tree as a guest (I will do the invite guest after I finish this) - it may save you some research time.
Mary Ann was the 3rd child of John Lark and Philippa Bickle (my great, great, great grandparents), and they (and many of their descendants) lived on Sherwill Farm (this place had many spellings) in Dunterton.
Next year (in about Sept) I'm travelling over to Devon to actually view some of these records. If you come across any in your travels, please let me know. Have you joined the Devon Family History Society - they have invaluable records, and well worth it.
Any way best of luck in your research - it is a wonderful journey (I'm only about 1/3rd of the way through - keep getting distracted onto various branches of the tree).
Best wishes
Wendy Lark
