Hi Stephen, this could be just one of those strange coincidences: I have Larkin's forbears who lived in Bradford and Leeds Yorkshire from abt 1880's, one of those was a Mary Ann Larkins b 1848 but she never married and eventually died in Bradford.
Her brother Frederick Patrick Larkins lived and worked in Bradford, as an insurance agent and later moved to Leeds where he with wife and daughters ran a number of cafe's/tea rooms, they were great friends of a George and Mary Barrett who were also witnesses at Frederick and (his wife Margaret's Marriage)
Fredericks parents were originally from Kildare in Ireland and I suspect were famine innigrants, they went initially to Caernarvon, N Wales and later to Glamorgan, Merthyr Tydfil. They had 5 children all born in Wales, I have managed to find three of them but two daughters are still to be found, named Mary and Anne !!
This probably wont help but you never know.
Best wishes Chris O'H
