Larochelle Family in the Upper Ottawa Valley

Hello,

My name is Robert McCauley and I am currently tracing the Larochelle branch of my family. My g-grandmother's name was Marie Bernadette Larochelle she married William McAuley. Marie's parents were Edward Larochelle and Marie Miron.
Edward's parents were Etienne Larochelle and Adelaide Lapierre.

Etienne and Adelaide were married in Bytown (Ottawa) on October 4, 1841. Together they had 10 children, being:

Herminia (b. ? d. 1846)
Emerentienne (b.1843 d. 1843)
Ermeline (b. 1845 d. 1911) + Charles Pellerin
Adeline (b. 1846 d. 1930) + Joseph Henri Bourgeois
Edouard (b. 1848 d. 1938) + Marie Miron
William (b. 1850 d. 1905) + Margaret Murphy
Josephine (b. 1854 d. 1894) + Louis Chenier
David (b. 1858 d. 1932) + Mary Ann Camley
Alexander (b. 1860 d. ?) + Helene Dupont, Mary Giroux
Alfred (b. 1861 d. 1912)

Etienne and his family moved to Rolph Township in the upper portion of Renfrew County Ontario in 1857. Adelaide was born Abt. 1828 in either Ontario or Quebec and died in 1908. Etienne was born abt.1816 in Quebec and died between 1861 and 1871.

I would very much appreciate to hear from anyone who is descendened from or studying this family. I would especially like to find the names of the parents of Etienne and Adelaide as it is not included on their marriage.

I am descended from Etienne Larochelle and Adelaide Lapierre's son Edouard Larochelle. He is my ggg-grandfather. FRANCOIS LAROCHELLE

The funeral of Francois Larochelle, 70, of Fitchburg road, who died suddenly of a heart attack at his home Saturday, will be held tomorrow morning at the J.A. Isabelle Funeral Home, Fitchburg, with a high mass of requiem in St. Denis Church at 9 o'clock.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fitchburg. Calling hours at the funeral home are today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.

My G Grandfather was William Casimer LaRochelle b. 29 May 1877 in Norwich, Conn. I believe that his father was William LaRochelle b. in Bridgeport, Conn. Maybe we are related.

Zarafie was born in St.Novard between 1850 1875. Buried in Rock Forest. Her mother was pure indian. Zarafie married Thomas Rouleau who was born around the same time. Their daughter, Elodia Josephine was born 3/1/1885.

I am seeking information on the descendants of Eloise Larochelle and Annibal Bacquet Lamontagne. Eloise is the daughter of Laurent Larochelle and Henriette Lachance dit Pepin. Eloise and Annibal were married in 1856 in St. Michel de Bellechasse. 2 of Eloise's siblings (Leontine and Alfred) also married 2 of Annibal's siblings.
Annibal was a pilot on the St. Lawrence, and I am also looking for any information regarding his occupation.

Casimir Rochelle/Larochelle

I'm trying to track down where my GGGrandfather Casimir Rochelle came from. He is listed in the 1860 census in Bridgeport, CT as being 40 years old, a saddle maker and from France. His oldest child is lsted as being born in Connecticut in 1848, his wife's name is listed as Anna, but may actually be Lena/Helena. Casimir died in 1863. He is later listed as coming from Canada on listings for his children. I know that there is a good chance his family name may actually be Gautron, but until I lock into his parents I can't be sure obviously.

I'm trying to track down people who have an ancestor born around 1820. I noticed you had a Napoleon in 1820?, I have a Casimir born around 1820 and trying to find his parents. He is in Connecticut by the late 1840s when his first child is born. He is in the 1860 census in Bridgeport, CT, he is listed as a saddle maker.

I'm trying to locate info on my Great-grandmother Almyra LaRochelle Donnelly. Almyra is a mystery to us, she has always been referred to as Almyra LaRochelle, but on her death certificate her father is listed as Pierre Rushton, her mother isn't listed. We are aware that she had a connection to Quebec and maybe that was through her Mother's family the LaRochelles.

He was born in August, 1888. He married

Elzear's brother, Hector LaRochelle, was my grandmother's father. I too have been researching this family line and this is what I have thus far:

William LaRochelle born in Canada @ August 1856. He immigrated to MA @1872. Died Sept. 30, 1936 Lowell MA
Josephine Patenaude who was born in Canada @ December 1854. She immigrated to MA @ 1871. She died Dec. 23, 1933 Lowell MA. They married @1879 in (Lowell?) MA.
They had 6 children:
Geraldine LaRochelle born @ Sept. 1879 in Lowell, MA
Hedwidge LaRochelle born @ 1882 in Lowell, MA
Elzear J. LaRochelle born @ 1885 in Lowell, MA
Hector George LaRochelle born April 5, 1886 Lowell, MA
Livinia (Lovinia?) LaRochelle born (Dates?)
Omer J. LaRochelle born @1892 in Lowell, MA

My grandmother's father was Hector George LaRochelle who married Noelia Vezina. They had 3 children:
Eudore LaRochelle, George LaRochelle and Cecile LaRochelle (my grandmother).

Maybe we can compare information....I am searching for Hedwidge LaRochelle who married Joseph Z. Lajoie (brother of Napoleon Lajoie, Baseball hall of fame). They married @ October 10, 1914 in Lowell MA and moved to Canada where Joseph started a business called JZ Lajoie Co., LTD. According to Canada, the business went under @ 1915 and presumably both Joseph and Hedwidge left British Columbia at that time. Supposidly Joseph Lajoie was murdered by an angry investor of his company. Hedwidge was my grandmother's god mother and they were never heard from again. We have no dates or places of death. They maybe had a daughter named Lillian Lajoie but I have had no luck locating this person or family. I have not been able to find much on Geraldine or Livinia either.

I find Ozine Larochelle daughter of Charles Larochelle and Marie Dinelle married to Andre Bilodeau son of Joseph and Françoise Ruel. They married in St-Lazarre Quebec Sept7 1858. Gr-Parents of Ozine : Pierre and Elisabeth Corriveau. Brothers and sisters of Ozine:Jean,Leon, Georges,Marguerite. Thats what I have in file.

Seraphie Larochelle and Thomas Rouleau were my g-grandparents.
She was born around 5 july 1859.
He was born around 7 march 1854.
They had at least 8 kids together and were living in Ste.Claire quebec in 1901; Elodie was their first born.
Their daughter, Zérila, was my grandmother and I'd very much like to know of the other descendants of Thomas and Seraphie, as well as any other family info.

I have conflicting records of a Celina with the name variations Cordelie or Celine Larochelle or Rochelle born around 1850 marrying a Mitchell or Michel Villemaire or Vilmire in 1873. Born in Lewiston, May 12, 1915. she was the daughter of Joseph & Eugenie Therriault St.Pierre. She lived here all her life and was a member of St. Anne's Sodality of Holy Family Church and a parishioner of SS. Peter & Paul Church.
