Joseph Larrivee and children

I am looking for the Larrivee that married into the Normandin family. Edwidge (Sarah) Normandin married Joseph Larrivee (they should have lived in the range of 1832 -1922--I know it's a broad range!!!). They had five children: Edwidge Larrivee who married Zotique Gadua; Joseph Larrivee who married unknown; Ulric Larrivee who married unknown; Velma Larrivee who married Abraham Belleau; and Rose Larrivee who married Burdell Smith. The children should have lived in the years franging from 1865 - 1979.

Many thanks,
Suzanne C. Danis 73042.3037@compuserv.com

Staff Sgt. Francis E. Larrivee, of Laconia, N.H.; WW II MIA Airmen Identified

IMMEDIATE RELEASE No. 1206-07
October 11, 2007
Nine Missing WWII Airmen are Identified

The Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO) announced today that the remains of nine U.S. servicemen, missing in action from World War II, have been identified and are being returned to their families for burial with full military honors.

(see link for complete release)

Staff Sgt. Francis E. Larrivee, of Laconia, N.H.;

. . . The burial . . .will be at Arlington National Cemetery near Washington, D.C. on a date to be determined.

Representatives from the Army met with the next-of-kin of these men in their hometowns to explain the recovery and identification process and to coordinate interment with military honors on behalf of the secretary of the Army.

On July 7, 1944, the men were aboard a B-24J Liberator that departed North Pickenham, England, on a mission to bomb a German aircraft factory near Bernburg, Germany. The plane was last seen by U.S. aircrew members in that vicinity. Captured records revealed that it had crashed near Westeregeln, about 20 miles northwest of the target in what would become the Soviet sector of a post-war-divided Germany.

In 2001, a group of German citizens interested in recovering wartime relics and remains learned of a potential crash site south of Westeregeln. Later that year and in 2002, the group found the site and uncovered human remains from what appeared to be two burial locations. The remains and other personal effects, including identification tags, were turned over to U.S. officials.

In 2003, a Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command (JPAC) team excavated the crash site and recovered additional remains, identification tags and non-biological material evidence.

Among dental records, other forensic identification tools and circumstantial evidence, scientists from JPAC and the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory also used mitochondrial DNA in the identification of the remains.

For additional information on the Defense Department's mission to account for missing Americans, visit the DPMO Web site at http://www.dtic.mil/dpmo/ or call (703) 699-11

http://www.defenselink.mil/releases/release.aspx?releaseid=1...

looking for information on Leo Dupont and Catherine Larrivee. Willing to give partial decendant listing, but need ancestry on either side. Unfortunately i do not have any more than a year range for them, and it is based on their child's birthdate. John Baptist Dupont was born approx. 1839, in canada. I therefore assume they were maried at about age 25-35, which places their births around 1800-1820 give or take a few years. if these dates and names look somewhat familiar, please let me know/ Mstanek@nycap.rr.com

Hi there,

I've hit a dead end early in my search. I know very little about my fathers family except for this. His Name is Jean Larrivee, but he was born Claude Jean Henri Joesph Larrivee (Either that or Jean Claude etc..). Born in l'abord a plouffe PQ. His fathers name was either George or George-Henri Larrivee, who was married to a Fernande Pellerin who might also be known as Blanche (sp?).

Problem is that I can't find out who Georges or Fernande's parents are.. I have some old death cards which tie the following names into the equation - Louis Pellerin, Amable Pellerin, Joseph Willer Bernard, Michael Larrivee, Damase Senechal, and Virginie Senechal.

Any info on ANYONE would be highly appriciated - even if you don't think it is worth while. :>

Thanks,

Matthew Larrivee

Thomas Larabee

I am looking for information about my great-grandfather, Thomas Larabee. He was born in Maine or Massachusetts around 1814. He later came west to Ohio and then moved to Indiana with his young family. I am told that there is a possibility that before our name was Larabee, it was Larrivee or Lariviere or something similar, perhaps a French Canadian family who emigrated south to the USA. Please email me if you have any info. Thanks, Joann Larabee
