Thomas Alonzo Lasaine Sr (b. 1852)is as far back as I have been able to go as I do not know any of his siblings or ancestors. Thomas was a carpenter and Mason. He lived off Kracke Street in Charleston. He married Mary Alice Person from Weldon, North Carolina. They had two sons, Thomas Jr and Herman. They adopted John Thomas Wright, who later became John Thomas Lasaine. John's mother was Thelma Person, his father, was Vernard M. Wright. After Mary Alice died, he married Viola Colonel from Charleston.
I don't know where he is buried, I have no obituaries, no pictures.
It's possible that we are related to the Lessanes out of Sumter but I am not certain.
