Seeking anyone with info on John and Sophie (Moprman?) Lasker. John wrote a book about travel in China which was cataloged by the Library of Congress and dissapeared shortly after writing it leaving Sophie to care for their two small children, Anna and Richard. Richards god-parents were Edward Lasker (?) and Mary Merrick (?). Not sure but we think the family is related to the chess champion Laskers.
