Classification: Query
Surnames: Lasley, Davidson, Brown, Butterworth, Fountaine
The above Mr. Lasley was appointed to appraise the 1794 Campbell Co., VA estate of the deceased Edward Davidson (along with William and Henry Brown, as well as with Benjamin Butterworth).

Mr. Lasley was also mentioned in a 20 Sep 1799 Franklin County, VA District Court case (that district court covered several counties, including Campbell Co., VA). Mr. Lasley was against Patrick H. Fontaine in that case, and a David and John Davidson were apponted commissioners, among others, to take depositions.

Does anyone have any information on the above Mr. Lasley?

Note: It is unclear if the David and John Davidson menitioned above were from the same family as the Edward Davidson mentioned above. There were three Davidson families in Campbell Co., VA at that time. Edward Davidson (who came to Bedford/Campbell Co., VA from Buckingham Co., VA) headed one of them, a James Davidson, Senior (originally from PA) headed another one and an Alexander Davidson (he had also been in Buckingham earlier, but research shows that he MAY not have been related to Edward) headed the third one.
