Lassen Family From Denmark to New Haven, CT
I am reposting in the hopes that someone will recognize my children's heritage. Louis Lassen was born in Schlewvig-Holstein, Denmark (at that time part of Germany). His father was Christain Lassen, mother's name unknown. When he came to New Haven, CT he married Sophia Kurtz, who according to the 1930 U.S. census was born in Ohio. He opened Louis Lunch in New Haven which had to move several years ago because of New Haven construction. It's a well-known eatery.
