Surnames: Lassiter, Griffin, Savage
I am looking for additional information for this branch of my family tree. The descendants I am seeking information for, are of African-American and Native American descent, or at least so I gathered from family reports. My great great grandfather was Granison Lassiter (b.1820) whose wife was Mary. They lived and raised their family near/in Gates County, NC. My direct line from their union is John Henry Lassiter (my great grandfather- b.1863) who married Fannie Cora Griffin; Annie Eunice Lassiter (my grandmother) married Robert Augustus Savage. My grandparents lived in Sunbury, NC and the Gates County, NC area as well. If anyone has any additional information regarding Granison Lassiter and/or John Henry Lassiter, other than the names of their offspring and census information, it would be greatly appreciated.
