I am seeking information on Caroline Smith-Yard, born in October, 1849 or 1850 in East Brunswick Schuylkill County Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Benjamin and Savina Smith. Caroline's father was possibly of Cherokee Indian descent. He was also a laborer on the Pennsylvania RR. Caroline married William Yard in 1870. She and William had three children, MaryJane, Victorine, and Matthew Yard, who was my great grandfather. Any help or information concerning Caroline Smith Yard's background will be greatly appreciated!
