My family comes from Sicily and as the story goes, migrated from southern France. I have made contact with another Lauri with family from mainland Italy. She has has also heard the French connection. Does anyone have an idea how the Lauri's in the north and south are connected. I have a hypothesis. Hundreds of years ago, we were all Gauls and various members of the family moved south or north. Gaul may be the connection, today's France was part of Gaul. Any input will be appreciated, thanks
