I am searching for information on my Grandmother's family. My Grandmother was born Emma Augusta LAUTERBACH on 23-Feb-1891 in Berlin, Germany. She may have had a brother named Walter LAUTERBACH.

Emma's father, Emo LAUTERBACH died in the war and her widowed mother married a man named BOSE (with two dots over the "O"). They may have had a child named Frieda BOSE.

Emma immigrated to NYC in 1910 and married Johannis KAUFMANN in 1911. They had five children; John Albert KAUFMANN (b.1912, prob. in NYC), William Walter KAUFMANN (b. 1915 in NYC), Emma Charlotte KAUFMANN STARKS (b. 1920 in Michgan), Winifred Dorothy KAUFMANN BLAIR (b. 1922 in Michigan) and Beverley Marilyn (b. 1933 in Michigan).

Emma's Aunt Mina RIETDORF died and sent her son Elton RIETDORF to live with the KAUFMANNS in Michigan. Aunt Mina may have been a KAUFMANN RIETDORF or a LAUTERBACH RIETDORF.

I'm interested in the history of the LAUTERBACH family, particularly information on Emo and Wilhelmine as well as Walter.
