Classification: Query
Surnames: Lauterbach, Ladebauche, Laudebauche, McNeny, McNeany, McNaney
Hello, looking for information about my g-grandfather's parents.
His mother's maiden name is listed at LAUTERBA. I've been told this could be a phonetic attempt at spelling Ladebauche or Laudebauche. Also, that these names are found near the Quebec border and Essex County.
My g-grandfather's info:
Name: MCNENY, RAYMOND P
Sex: MALE
Birth Date: 19 Jun 1896
Birthplace: NEW YORK
Death Date: 12 Jan 1963
Death Place: LOS ANGELES
Mother's Maiden Name: LAUTERBA
The spelling of Raymond's last name may have changed from the origianl too, McNeany, McNaney, McNary. It's no wonder I can go back no further than this!
If any of this sounds possible, familiar or ridiculous, let me know.
Thanks!
~Carrie
