I am searching for descendants or anyone with information on My gr grandfather William Lawton b. abt 1852 in Macclesfield Eng. immigrated to Rhode Island 9 May 1905 aboard S.S. Saxonia. Arrived 18 May in Boston bound for Rhode Island to live with daughter Sarah E. Lawton Foulkes. William's wife, Elizabeth, may have died in Eng. possibly Elizabeth Price Lawton b. Hanley, Stafford, Eng. abt 1853. William Lawton was living with his daug and son-in-law, William T. Foulkes in the 1910 US RI Census . William Lawton also had a son, David Christopher Lawton who married Alice Gledhill in Eng. prior to coming to the US in 1903. David and Alice had two children Walter Lincoln Lawton, 1905, and Dorothy,1915.
Walter married, unkn, and had son Roger David b. 1941, and daug. b. 1937, living??? Thought to be in Richmond Va area.
William may have been buried in Central Falls about 1918? as he is not on 1920 Census. There is a William B. Lawton in the Rhode Island Cemeteries listing but no proof if this is my William.
I have extensive ancestry info on the Foulkes Line and would like to increase my grandmothers line.
Any information or possible ties would be greatly appreciated
