Carolyn Laxson and Richard Tiegs are working on genealogies for their families. The Laxsons in our family have been Iowa-based for over a century. Wee know of relations who went to Canton, SD area and others who went to Oregon. Based on information that we are deciphering from an old family Bible, we ascertained that our family came from Tarrington (approx. spelling) England. We think there may have been a one generation stop in Pennsylvania before coming to Iowa. We have a pieced together families in our direct line, but do not have the subsequent families of cousins, etc. beyond our immediate line. We will contribute to whatever discussions we are able when we are able. Two young sons so not exactly make it easy to do geneaology very often.
