Hello again Julie,
I remember your mother very well. I am the granddaughter of Margaret (Maggie) and Alfred Pollen, they had one daughter Florence who was my mother. I spent a lot of my time as a child visiting and staying with "Auntie Charlotte and Uncle Vic" it was my second home! You mention that Charlotte emigrated, I can't believe that I never heard that story are you sure it was her?
Can I suggest that we keep in touch by email? My address is lynne2@orange.fr

I expect we have the same wedding photos - there is a large one of the group. On it are two young girls (my sister, June and I. We were bridesmaids) I am the smallest one.
Look forward to hearing from you and then I can probably answer a lot of your questions.

How exciting - we are definitely related. Charlotte was my great grandmother, Flo & Bill my grandparents and Barbara is my mother. I think Charlotte had three sisters - Hannah, Maggie & Anna? and three brothers, Peter, Tom & James. Do you have any information on Charlotte emigrating to Canada in 1913?I know she sailed on the Virginian on 30 July but haven't traced her return so far. Would love to compare info, particularly if you have anything beyond Charlottes parents, Martha & James. I have a photo of Martha that I can e-mail and one or two of the brothers. I have a couple of wedding photos for Bill & Flo but would be interesting to see if we have the same. Regards Julie

I have just come across your letter while researching my family on my grandmother's side. She was the sister of Charlotte Renshaw, mother to Florence who married William Le Brocq. So I am only related to the Brocqs by marriage but I do have William's (Billy) and Florence's wedding photograph.. I would be quite happy to let you have a copy if you are interested in adding it to your research.
They only had one child, Barbara.
I am looking for information on a Nicholas and a Steven Brock that came from the Channel Islands to New Hampshire in the 1700's. Not known if they were related. However, in Strafford County, NH those names are frequently found. Any information would be helpful as I look for the father of Stephen Brock born 3-2-1751/2 in Barrington and married first Elizabeth Berry b about 1754 in Rye, NH and second married Hannah (last named unknown).

I am descended from a family of Le Brocqs who came from St Hellier and St Ouen in Jersey. My great great grandfather was James Pirouet Le Brocq born in St Hellier in 1840 and the family has been traced back as far as Jean Le Brocq who married in St Ouen in 1773. If you are still checking this message board maybe we can see if we have some common ancestry?

Hello Daniel
I'm sorry that I don't have any more information on Le Brocq after the mid 1600's only that Elizabeth married Jacques Bailhache in Jersey and their daughter Magdelaine Bailhache married Pierre Benest in Guernsey and that they are my ancestors. I am trying to get Le Brocq information myself , my Elizabeth le Brocq was from St Ouens.

well I have spoke to a few of my relatives and i do know there is another line of Le Brocq that weren't apparently related to my family so I am unsure I know most of my grandads family originated from the channel islands mainly Jersey. My grandadmove to england when he met my Nan and have lived here ever since do you have any idea of people who are in your family tree? I did a surname search on msn messenger for profiles who had the surname Le Brocq and I found a couple of ppl but did not appear in my immediate family tree

Just had a thought i would be most interested in any information you have on the lebrocq family because my grandads tree has been drawn up from about the 1790s i think and i could try to help you find out your information if you have the same or simular tree so we know that both of the information we have are in the same line of lebrocq and we wouldnt be getting them mixed up if there were to be another line of lebrocq hertiage. Its all very confusing to me as i have not research greatly how family tree works apart from the obvious things but all i no is everytime i go down to my grandads i take great interest in looking at his family tree he has framed on his wall in his bedroom. So it would be great to find out what information you have to see if we are both looking at the same line of Le Brocqs.
hi there my name is daniel le brocq i no my grandad has a family tree but it is only the le brocq family tree and i think it only dates back to about 1765. So i cant help there however if you can help me out with any family tree history that would be most grateful as i notice you too have the same surname. My grandad arther le brocq moved over from the channel islands when he married my nanna silvia pope ive had a keen interest in our family name as it is such a rare name its hard to beileve how this rare name has become so world widely spread as ive notice people with the surnames from austrialia, usa, canada and jersey and even places in the uk near where i live and never heard of them in my immediate family tree please feel free to email me as i find all this very interesting. p.s. i know my grandads family tree was made up from one of his close relative in jersey whos there dated back further than his so i will get in touch with him and find out who has that in jersey as that could be quit interesting, as i remember it being presented to him at his 65th birthday 7years ago in jersey and i was only about 12

Ah ok then so is your surname lebrocq or are you just trying to find information about the Le Brocq history. Like i said my grandad has relatives in jersey.. Hundreads of them i think lol well so ive been told and am sure one of them had some history on the Le Brocqs but i cudnt be sure how far bac that information went. How much history do you have on the Le Brocq family tree i would like to look at some of the information you have. How far back and how much up to the present day you have? coz i found a person who goes by the name Jens Le Brocq from nottingham,uk and is 18 years old and i have never heard of him before. I didnt realise how popular our name was but i didnt think it could be that popular could it????? I sent an email to a guy in austrilia last year who had the very same name as my dad (Andrew Le Brocq) and was about the same aged to he told me abit about how he had met a few other people who shared the same surname and his family history did date back to the channel islands. Where abouts are you from??
