I have some old photos of the Leaf family taken at a Des Moines, Iowa studio. The photos are (somewhat) identified at Clara, August and Emil Leaf and possibly their parents.

The Leaf family was related (cousins?) to Maria Berglund Peterson Carlson. Maria was a native of Falun, Kopparberg, Sweden. Maria's first husband John F. Peterson was a coal miner at Oswalt, Iowa.

Following John's death, Maria married Alfred Carlson. Maria and Alfred lived at Des Moines, Iowa before moving to Minnesota.
