Bruno is one of our "brick walls."
All we know about him is hearsay. He was born on October 8, 1865 in "Quebec." He supposedly left home (Montreal?) at an early age (est. 15 or 16) to help William F. Boucher transport horses to Michigan. He settled in St. Ignace, Michigan, marrying Luci Agnin (Agnes Luci) Boucher in Naubinway, Michigan on July 2, 1883 at the age of 17. At one time he was the County Sheriff and County Treasurer in St. Ignace, Michigan, and the hotel proprietor there.
He died in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on March 6, 1913 of pneumonia. His body was accompanied back to St. Ignace for burial by "a brother" whom we have not yet identified.
Three daughters were born of his marriage to Luci Agnin Boucher:
Ida LeClerc (1885-1978, m. Frank Kohl);
Blanche LeClerc (1891-1983, m. Francis Xavier Meier);
Florence Bell Catherine LeClerc (1893-1986, m. George Henry Wood, my daughter's great-grandmother.
Would appreciate help with the names of his parents and siblings. Too many LeClerc's in Canada - don't know where to begin. Would welcome any help at all. Contact me at gerrigornik@yahoo.com.
Thanks so much.
