NORTH BLOOMFIELD, Ohio — Elijah Ledger, 63, 8384 Bridgen Road, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008, in Columbus,Ohio at the Ohio State University Hospital.
He was born Dec. 21, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Calvin Ledger and Rebecca Manora.
He was employed in maintenance for Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority, retiring in 1989. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1965 to 1967.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mesopotamia.
He is survived by daughters, Deborah Harris of Cleveland and Annette Bond of Stafford, Va.; sisters, Ida Biggers of Cleveland, Rosie Harris of Cleveland, Ella Johnson of North BLOOMFIELD and Pearl Ledger of Cleveland; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents.
Services will be noon Saturday at the church, where calling hours will be one hour prior to services. The family will receive friends at 8325 Bridgen Road, North BLOOMFIELD. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Arrangement were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
