Lorraine: I believe there is a Cherokee bloodline within the Lee family. My mother Cora Mae Lee (Rice, married name) lived in Cartersville, GA, Bartow County. There was at least one brother, Bill Lee (Uncle Bill), two sisters, Sally Lee (married name unknown), Viola Lee (never married), deceased September, 1984. Sally had at least two children, boy and girl, the names have escaped me over the years. They all lived in Pine Log, GA. Some are buried in White, GA (I can't recall the church's name off hand, will get that to you, if necessary). As for the Indians as slaves, I know nothing of this. I hope this helps some. If you have any other info, I would be very interested in receiving it.
