Does anyone have any info regarding the brothers/sisters of Gen. Robert E. Lee, and perhaps some of their descendants? I have lost contact with my cousin, Linda Vaughan, formerly of Virginia, now living in N.C., who had or knew someone with this info.
My mother's father, Charles Hampton Lee, was from North Wilkesboro, NC, and died 2/9/63. I know the lineage back to William M. Lee, who was a senator, and a preacher, and lived around the time of the war. I am only guessing that he was 1st or 2nd cousins with the General? (doubtedly brothers, but I really have no idea.)
Any info or contacts anyone can provide will be GREATLY appreciated!!
