I am still looking for someone specifically from the following LEEPER line to Y DNA test. William H. LEEPER b.PA c1798 m. Elizabeth DIXON. They had 13 children including sons David, William, Daniel, Samuel, John, Robert and Albert. This family lived in Warwick, Orange Co., NY and Vernon, Sussex Co., NJ.

The LEEPER Y DNA project has 2 participants so far, results are in for one, and the test has been ordered for the second. This is a great start! There are possibly several LEEPER lines and it would be great to get each one represented.

Yes, It is peter Andersen. I looked on the copy of where Julius came over (by himself @ age 17?) it was pselled Andersen. so. Any information you can give me, any pictures? Are you related?

anything in your information about a Samuel Leeperb 1854, d 9/24/1914 of NJ? His parents were William H 1798 in PA Washington county d 12/2/1872 & Elizabeth Dixon b 3/31/1803 d 10/13/1889. They hasd 13 children! William was a shoemaker, full blooded cherokee.

Thank you for responding. Yes I am a Leeper descendent of Peter Anderson who was a son of Julius P Anderson who came from Denmark in 1871 through Hamburg Germany from a town called Flakkebjerg which I suppose he was born or lived at.I was also told Julius came over here with a brother? who stole all his money and went out west) He was born 12/1854. your right, the last name could be spelled Andersen. However, that is a ocmmon name I was told. That's all I know. I've tried searching census's between 1871 through 1900, but can't find anything on him. Anyhow Julius who is my g grandfather also had a daughter Sophronia who married a Fred Leeper who was my grandfather. They had twin sons, one died at birth, the other was my father Curtis E Leeper, born 8/17/1918. I emailed a website in Denmark but haven't heard anything yet. http:www.ddd.dda.dk/ddd_en.htm. I got this from my local library. I would really like to learn more. Anyhow this Peter (son) lived in Butler NJ he was born 1/1892 d 1956 was married to a Gertrude, they had 5 children. so there must be some descendents? He worked for American Rubber co in Butler, NJ. So did Julius at age 66 in 1910. Peter is buried in Mt Rest Cemetary along with his wife & a baby. So do you have any more information? Oh & Julius's wife was Laura Poole. They lived in Pequannock NJ in 1900, but then moved to Kiel Ave in Butler by 1920 where they lived till they died. Thank you! kathy

Also, the LEEPER DNA project needs an active co-administrator (I would still 'be there' but if we could get an active LEEPER researcher to help that would be great, IF we can get some LEEPER participants!!!).

Would you have any info on a Pete(r) H. Leeper b. 1915 in Indiana born to a Sadie M.(nee)Fisher-Leeper then married Lon Price about 1926. Pete died in 1953 and his mother in 1973 in South Bend? Don't have any info on his side of the family.

There could be a Uriah but as of now I only have 2 generations;grandfather-Pete(r) Harold Leeper and his father-Harold Albert(later seen it as Alexander)Leeper.

Harry was a WWII Army Veteran, former Fire Chief and Fireman of Chalfant Boro, a former member of the Rescue 8 Ambulance Service and he was a retired employee of Westinghouse with over 30 years of service. Husband of Barbara (Shearer); father of Carolina Cropelli (Stephen); grandfather of Courtney DiPippa, Brianna and Domenic Cropelli; brother of Aurelia McGirr, Albert Leeper and Grace Cole; preceded in death by son Harry W. Leeper; also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends welcome on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm in the PATRICK T. Why are you posting this message about Peter ANDERSON to the LEEPER board? Is one of his descendants named LEEPER?

Please tell us ANDERSON's relation to LEEPER and be a bit more specific with birth, death, marriage dates--if known. Someone might read your query and make a connection.

And did your ancestor spell it ANDERSON or ANDERSSON in his native Denmark? Just curious... There are a lot of Danish genealogy websites. Perhaps you could find data about him there or on the immigration records.

I am still seeking information on my g.grandfather Julius P anderson who came form Denmark in 1871. He had several children, a Thorwold b 3/1890 I would like morei nformation on him. A melvin b 8/13/1897 d 1/1973, a Peter b 1/1892, d 1960's? m gertrude he had 5 children, in the 1920 census there was a frank J, age 1, a George E b 1920. Peter also worked for the American Rubber factory in Butler, as did Julius. Julius also had several daughters, a Fronia (Safronia) my grandmother, a celia b 5/1886, d 1932, m charles remboy. SO DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THESE DESCENDENTS? Any information,they're probably in the Butler NJ vicinity? Yes, my Aunt Kathyrn was married to Jake Studebaker. She died last year but her son Jack lives in Washington. My mom, Dorothy knew the Studebakers well while living with Aunt Kathyrn and Jake.

I spoke with my mom today and she remembers Jake's mom well. She also lived with Jake and Kathyrn when she was going to school. I'll scan any pictures she has.

My Aunt Katherine was married 3 times, once to Jake Studebaker, and then to two brothers, Joe and Fred Cyr. She had two children by Studebaker a boy and a girl.

My mother tells me that her Grandfather Andrew S Leeper (also her father's name) moved to Southern California in about 1880 or 1890. She heard that he died in Los Angeles but we don't know when.

My aunt Kathryn, was born May 27, 1908 and I
suspect that she was born in Idaho or Washington.
I have her SS# which is 533-16-9967. You can
write to the Social Security Administration
and get a copy of her application, which should
give you a lot of information, inlcluding her
middle name. I am going to do that, and I will
be glad to share whatever I find. She does
have a son, living as far as I know, in Pasco or
Dixie, Washington. His name is Jack Cyr. I
don't know his age or anything. He visited my
mother in Alaska in 1987, the year she died.
He had retired from the USpostal service that
year. Let me know if any of this leads to
anything, and I will keep you advised from my end.

I don't know to tell the truth. I was born in
1941 and by then my Aunt Kathryn was married
or shortly to be married to Joe Cyr. I know
that she had been married once before and
there was some kind of scandal that was whispered
in the family about her behavior in that
marriage or to that effect. I wish I knew
her middle name, but I don't. I will try to
find out. That would really be something
if she turned out to be the mother of Mr. Sims.
I had never known her to live anywhere but in
Pasco, Washington. That does not, however,
mean that she didn't. I will see what I can
find out about her middle name and her previous

Got your message this morning. I live in Sacramento CA. My mom is Dorothy Leeper Robinson. She was the youngest daughter. My mom is 17 days younger than your mother. I've met your uncle Robert who lives in Walla Walla along with his family. My mom and I were there when Aunt Kathyrn was in the hospital before she died. I have 2 other sisters and 2 brothers. Most of us live in Sacramento but 1 of my brothers lives in Detroit. Hi Martha, I am so glad to hear from you. My
mother is Laura Leeper Joy Yates. She was the
oldest child of Olof and Hilda Leeper. Our
father was Samuel Joy. There were four of us
kids. My older brother James Lee Joy, died
in a plane crash in 1982. My real name is
Eada Colleen Joy Hickman. The Eada is a family
name from the Joy side, I think. My sister
is Jo Ellen Joy Hill and my younger brother
is Irvin (Skip) Joy. Both my sister and brother
live in Anchorage. I live in Fairbanks. I
have three children, my sister has three and
my older brother had three, however his two
boys died with him in the crash. His daughter
lives in Waterville, Washington. My younger
brother has one son.
I hope that you will ask your mom for all the
info on the family. I don't even know all the
brothers and sisters of my grandfather. I know
Aunt Mary, Aunt Kathryn, Uncle Herbert and I
don't think I know anyone else. We moved to
Alaska when I was very young. Please let me
know what I can tell you, that you don't already
know about our part of the family. I don't

seems to me that I visited Great Grandpa Leeper

Sorry I just returned from vacation. My mother's oldest brother was Olaf Leeper. My mom was one of 17 children. What is your mothers name? My mom can tell you alot about her father? My grandfather was born in 1862 in Missouri. He and his father had the same name so that could account for the date difference. I can go back to Robert T Leeper 1760 in Kentucky.

I have found a Robert Leeper in virginia, who came from Ireland in early 1700, but not able to connect the two so far.

So are these Leeper's connected to yours in Pa?

my father was Herbert A Leeper, son of Andrew Sherman Leeper of Walla Walla or burbank Washington. His sister was Kathuryn Leeper. I have been attempting to find my father's date of birth.

As far as I know my early Leeper families did not settle in Kentucky. They were in PA. Many located in Washington County and close surrounding counties to Washington County.

I would not be surprised if you were related to my Leeper families. Do you go back any further than Andrew Sherman Leeper. My Leeper families gathered in western PA. Washington, Fayette, Westmoreland counties. Robert Galloway
Leeper and Mary Ammon are two of the older generation.

I don't know if this is the same or a different Andrew LEEPER, but Findagrave.com/ has an Andrew LEEPER born
Dec. 3, 1830 - April 26, 1929 buried at the Manor Wilson Bridge Cemetery, Vancouver, Clark County, Washington, near the graves of a Sarah J. LEEPER and a William W. LEEPER.
