Florence Dingfelder is the daughter of Fred Dingfelder and Anna Margartha Louise Kuhlmann. Florence married Peter Casper Leick which are my father's parents. So, they are my grandparents. My father is Richard Leick. Florence Dingfelder also had a sister named Pearl and a brother named Earl. Florence was born Sept. 7, 1905 and died May 8, 1959. So, my dad might know some other things about her that I may not. If you have any other questions, I can try to help you. Jessie

I would love finding more about her branch... there is quite a bit of dingfelder info that you add to at the world wide dingfelder family tree site: http://www.dingfelder.org

cheers,

andy

I am just starting to research the Leick families from Marathon County. They starting off in Wrightstown, Brown County, WI and made there way to Marathon. I have brother Jacob 28, Mathias 25 & Hubert 32 in the 1860 census. Have followed the families through the censuses. The children from these men moved to Marathon County. I am off of Jacob, who had a son Jacob. Wondering if you have obits or dates from these families.
Thanks
Deb (ggmdam@tds.net)

I am trying to locate information on my Great Grandmother who was a Mary LEIICK, who married Robert CLARKE in the Dakotas around 1886. My Grandmother was a Nora (CLARKE) ANDERSON. From what I know my Great Grandmother was born in Germany (Prussia) or possibly in Iowa. Her family came to the US in the 1870's and she had several brothers and sisters. I believe the ended up in the Dakotas in the 1880's. From what I now my GGgrandfather LEIICK when to the Oklahoma Terr looking for land and was never heard of again. I believe several of the brothers a Frank J. and Peter J. moved to Idaho in the early 1900's. They are buried in Bonner County.
I am not for sure if the LEICK AND LEIICK are the same surname? I have the LEIICK from my Grandmother death Cert.
Any help would be appreicated.

Hi Theresa!
I'm formerly from Stratford Wisconsin (I now live in Southern California) and there are a whole bunch of us there! My brother's name is David, and there is also one in Auburndale WI. I read about the Leick Furniture Co. in the Smithsonian of all things. I didn't recognize any of the names that you had mentioned but there are a lot of them in central WI and in the Green Bay area. They are for the most part, Germans. I'm sure this doesn't help much, but if you have more questions, e-mail me @ bonnieleick@hotmail.com.

Leick Family inquiry for my boyfriend :)

My boyfriend's name is David Leick and he lives in northern California. Recently, we ran across a furniture maker with the name Leick based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Dave knows he has relatives in Wisconsin. His dad's name is Dale Leick (born and raised in Marysville, California)and his grandfather's name was Robert Leick. There were 9 children born to Robert and Cecille Leick and most of his relatives live in California. We were both wondering if anyone out there is related to him and if he's related somehow to the Leick Furniture Company based in Wisconsin. David's grandfather was German and passed away in the 70s due to complications from diabetes and also became blind at a young age due to his diabetes. Any info. would be appreciated. Please respond. Thank you!

LEICK in Alberta, Canada

I'm looking for information on an Alva LEICK, in Coaldale, Alberta in 1963. My connection would be through his mother-in-law, maiden name MaryAnn CASSELMAN, originally of Ontario, Canada. I have seen a newspaper clipping that shows MaryAnn's daughter as Mrs. Alva LEICK, but have no other information on her. Mrs. Alva LEICK's maiden name could have been PICKERING or QUINN, perhaps RODGERS, as Mary Ann Casselman was married 3 times.
Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.
