My paternal grandparents were George Leonard and Velma Lemley of Conecuh County, Alabama. They both were from Jefferson County, Alabama. Leonard's grandparents were G.W. and Nancy A. Lemley, who are both listed in the 1880 census as living in Jefferson County, Alabama. G.W. was born about 1848 in Arkansas, although his parents were both from Alabama. Nancy was born about 1848 in Alabama, although her parents were both from Georgia.

I have "stalled out" on these two ancestors, as I can't spot them on any previous census. If you have any information on G.W. and Nancy A. or their descendants, I'd be so appreciative.
