Of John Lemming, who departed this life December 30, 1923, age 64 years:
The grim angel of death again visited our home and took our dear brother and uncle, John Lemming. He had been in poor health for two years, but felt better Sunday moring and went out to feed the chickens and dropped dead.
John Lemming had lived in and near Demossville for the last 61 years, and has many friends who will mourn his sad demise. He loved little children and Thanksgiving day, his niece, Mrs. Fossitt, Miss Leona Lemming, Will Lemming and family took dinner with their uncle and he said he was coming to Cincinnati New Year's day to see his grand nieces and nephews. He was a devout member of the Catholic church and was laid to rest at St. Mary's cemetery, Morning View, Ky.
