We got back DNA results back (this week)from a descendent of William I Lemons SR b1779 Father of William Lemons JR b1799. The 33 marker results were an identical match to my uncles 44 marker results!

This proves that William SR b1779 and my ancestor Levi Lemons b1785 were brothers!! And also clears up the 50 years of confusion between William JR b1799 and Levi's son William Lemons b1801. They were in fact first cousins.

I am still holding out hope that a descendent of Thomas Lemons b1773 will also take the DNA test and prove a connection to William and Levi also.
