died Thursday, February 14, 2008
at his residence. He was born in Dartmoore, W.Va.,
on June 21, 1921,
son of the late Joseph and Palmina Forte Leonardi.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy
as a Gunner's Mate, in both theaters of war; European, American, Middle Eastern and Asiatic Pacific.
Albert was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church
in McKean,
and a founding member of the Edinboro McKean
He loved woodworking and gardening.
Albert was preceded in death by
three brothers, Rinaldo, Leonardi,
Levere Leonardi,
and Cecil Leonardi,
and two sisters Mary Leonardi
and Lena (Leonardi,) Veoni. "
Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years
Mary Dzvonyicsak (Swasho) Leonardi,
of McKean; TWP ERIE CO PA
a daughter Marcia Gladwin of Morgantown, W.Va.;
a brother, Joe Leonardi " of Fla.,
a grandson, Eric Krouse
and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Sunday, February 17th
from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday,
February 18th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 8880 W. Main St, McKean, PA 16426.
A mass of christen burial will be held there on Tuesday, February 19th, at 11 a.m.
with Fr. Mark Nowak officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
