Rosario Leonardi (name changed from Leonardo upon entry to U. S.) married Cora Bacon and they had 3 sons - Joseph, Lawrence and Albert. He also had 4 daughters Katy (maybe Katherine, Mary and Camille.

I am searching for the parents of Andrew Leonardi. Andrew was born abt 1880 in Tuscany?, Italy. He married Mary Duranti, also born abt. 1880 in Italy. They lived in Tenafly, NJ. They had six children, 2 of which were girls. One of his children, Joseph is my great grand-father. Any info on Andrews parent would be appreciated.

Hi, my grandmother's name was Susan (Sudie) Venancia Leonardi, she married Steven William Bradley. They lived in Hernando Co and Pasco Co. Fl. I have a hand written listing of their children and their parents names. I was told it was written by my grandfather. Heer parents are listed as: Joseph Edward Leonardy and Matilda McKenny. Leonardi is used to label some pictures. I have one of Sudie and Clara (Leonardi) Strobles. If you think this may be the right family, please contact me, I am also looking for more info on this family.

I grew up in this neighborhood. In fact, I live across the street from where Andrew and Mary Leonardi lived in Tenafly. My grandfather knew Andrew Leonardi, and some of my neighbors did too!

I would be glad to share with you what I know of Andrew Leonardi's Tenafly home. Are you familiar with Tenafly?

Do you have any idea what happened to the Leonardi family of Tenafly?

I'm trying to find out more info on Emma Leonardi and her family. She's my husbands grandma and I'm not sure if she was ever married or not. If so her husbands name is Kenneth Preston Harrison. They had 5 children together between the years 1940-1946 and lived in the Chelsea, Suffolk, MA, area. I actually need info on both. Thanks.
Oh yeah I believe they both died around the same time about 1990.

I am trying to locate any info on Susie Lowe who married Louis Pacetti in 1880's Susie was from KY and she had a sister Margaret. Margaret married a Henry J Kendall ( TN) and their two daughters have Florida listed on census as where they were born. This could possibly be in St. Augustine area. Susie & Margaret's father was John M. Lowe/ John Lowe possibly lived in Florida at some time. Any help appreciated.

Yes, Antonio Leonardi and Francis (Francesca Fontana) are my great grandparents. My maiden name was Leonardi.

Looking for anyone who may have information pertaining to Philip Leonardi born October 12, 1889 in Italy/Sicily. He died in Mar 1981 in Smyrna, Delaware USA. I suspect he may be from Catania, Sicily but I am not sure. He had two sisters, but I do not know their names. His mothers first name was either Josefia or Josefina, spelling may be incorrect. Philip Leonardi had two sons Antonio and William Leonardi both in the state of Delaware USA. Philip may have also worked on the American Railroad betweeon 1920's and 1940's. I am the grandson of Albert Leonardi Sr., son of Rosario Leonardi.
Rosario settled in New Orleans from San Stefano, Sicily by way of Palermo. Rosario had two sons Albert and Laurence. They are supposed to have another brother who moved to New York named Joseph (?).
Albert married Rosemary Bianchini.

I read your posting about the names listed at the cemetary, which one? All of the names you listed are my mothers family. I have pictures of "leafy" and Aunt Vera and Aunt Ellen.
Also, Aunt Nell and Aunt Leal.

Flint Leonardy was my grandfather too. He had 3 boys: A.vin, Leslie, Florence (Bunk) Jr. and one girl:Geraldine (my mother). He was born 2/25/1877 in Ft.Myers I believe. He married Minnie Lee Hogan and they lived on Highland ave. when he died in 1933 of a heart attack. Minnie moved to St.Pete after that and lived out on Maximo point in south St.Pete (next to the Sunshine Skyway now) St.Petersburg Times printed a story, that only Indians lived out on the point, but I have a lot of pictures of the Leonardy, Hogan and Roberts families who lived out there. There was an uncle Harold and Sally Mann's mother lived out there too. I have some information on other members of the family such as the Powell's and the Slaughters and also Mary Jane Savage.

Louise, do you remember Geraldine? she married Charles Yowell and moved to Baltimore? She spoke of a cousin Louise all the time. Some of her relatives lived in Belle Glade, some in St.Pete and Ft.Myers. Her mother was Minnie Lee Hogan Leonardy and her father was Florence E. Leonardy.

My grandparents and Donna Whitaker's (she is my cousin) were from Ft.Myers and St.Petersburg. Florence E. Leonardy was born Feb.25, 1877 in Alva or Ft.Myers, I believe
His nickname was Flint and he was a fisherman.

I am the daughter of Geraldine Vera Leonardy; her father was Florence Edward Leonardy; Her grandmother was Martha Jane Slaughter. Florence E.Leonardy died in Ft.Myers in 1933 of a heart attack and is buried in Ft.Myers cemetary somewhere we can't find it. Her mother is Minnie Lee Hogan Leonardy she is buried in Royal Palm cemetary in St.Pete.
She often spoke of celeste.

hi as you have allready read most of what i allready know ill add a few bits
michael came to nottingham england in 1824 ,(he was born in italy 1804)prior to 1824 there was no leonardis in england at all .ive managed to trace quite a lot of the family that started in 1824 and my father was born in nottingham in 1920 and his father was born in 1893 also in nottingham.ive got the 1881 british census cds and our census is only released every ten years after they are a hundred years old so it can be very hard to find things out at times.i would like to know where michael came from prior to 1824 so if i can help you please feel free to email me

Karen, while researching my relatives (Corti)Giuseppe and his brother Giovanni Corti it appears they came to the states from Italy in 1912 and 1913 to live with an uncle Giacomo Leonardi in Leechburg, Pa. I am not sure if this is your Leonardi. In your research did you see any mention of Corti?

My Vito Leonardi as I've later found came from Baragiano, Potenza, Basilicata. He used the name James for some reason but I found his marriage record in Italy which said Vito. His daughter listed his name as Giacomo on her marriage application. Anyway, I don't know what the town in PA is that you mentioned but my great grandfather lived in Philadelphia some of the time and also in surrounding areas i.e. Montgomery County and maybe other areas nearby. I cannot find him in the census until 1930 however his children were baptized in PA churches starting in 1892 so I know he was in PA.

Lawrence Leonardi was born 16 Jan 1822 in Luxembourg. He married Katherine Kuhn born 1818. They immigrated to the United States sometime before 1865. They were in Kansas between the time they immigrated until Lawrence died in St. Marys in 1902. Katherine died in Topeka, Kansas in 1925. They had children George, Katherine, Mary, Pierre (1851-1903), Michael (1859-1938) and John (1860-1912). Pierre changed his name to Peter Conway when he enlisted in the Army. Does anyone have a connection to this family?

Is this the same Leonardi(y) line which I have listed as Roque Leonardi(y) from Modena, Italy? If so, I am interested in finding out somethings about his descendents. Please reply. My husband is a Leonardy - we think someone changed the spelling along the line. His father was born in the Sanford, Fla area and was named John.
