It is a Greek name of a SWISS family and also the name of a fairly well known company that makes and sells high quality CHOCOLATE candy. There is a store by that name, Leonidas Chocolates, in Contra Costa County California USA

Grandfather

My grandfather was Greek and came in 1909 or 1910. He was married to Urania Angelo . He had five sons, John, George, Peter, Alex and Gus. He had a brother who lived in Chicago.
Leonidas was not his real name, it may have been Fagakis or Fugakis. I don't know the town he came from or if it was Greece or Turkey. I am looking any family that might me around. Contact me at Beallsbabe@adelphia.net.
Thank you Constance Ann
