I am the Great Granddaughter of Rubin and Ester Lessing...All I know is that Rubin was born on Apr 25, 1885, married Ester Distenfeld in 1908 and had three children, one of which was my grandmother Dorothy, and they settled in Philadelphia.

Rubin had a brother Abraham who was born about a year after him but when he came to the United States, he somehow got the last name as Lessig instead of Lessing and never changed it back to Lessing once he settled his US roots.
