Charles A Lester born Kentucky (1845) died West Virginia (1919)

Surnames: Lester/Drennin(Drennon or Drenning)
Hello
Have been researching the family of Margaret Lester Kanuth born in Parkersburg, West Virignia about 1879.
I believe her father was Charles August Lester, was born in Boone County, Kentucky Oct 23 1845.
He married Margaret Drennin/Drennon/Drenning (all three spellings from a child's death certificate) born in Virginia 1840 - although could have been it what became West Virgina.
They had 10 children only 6 still living in 1919. The two eldest children are shown born in Ohio per census reports. All others born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, youngest born 1882. 1900 census shows family in Huntington, West Virginia.
Charles Death certificate shows his father name was also Charles. - no mother's name shown. Both of his parents per census records were born in Kentucky.
Hit a wall with Margaret Drennin - not even a death certificate she is not mentioned in the 1910 census.
Does any of this fit into your research? If not, if you could give me some advise on where to go from here - I live in Virginia Beach and have done all on line so far.
