Hi Lori,
I am also related to you!! Joseph Leveille is my great grandfather. His son Alfred E Leveille married Alice E Henderson. They had 10 Children, 5 boys and 5 girls, My father was the youngest son Norman William Leveille. I too have been told that we have the Blackfoot indian tribe. I was told that one of my great, great grandfather was the indian chief of the blackfoot tribe. I do not know for sure if this is true. I will get in touch with some of my aunts who will probally have more information. I know that one of them has pictures of the Blackfoot indians we are related too. I am just not sure which relative had them ( I saw these photo's atleast 15 years ago) Any more information you may have I would love to see. Also I have actually been to the cemetary where Joseph and Hilma were buried, it is the same cemetary that my dad is buried. St Joseph's cemetary on Hilldale ave in Haverhill Mass. I do have more information written down, as soo as I find it I will give you what I have! Please feel free to email at Leveillejolyn@yahoo.com

Excuse me, but is it possible that this Onesime Leveille (or Joseph Levoir) was the same person married to "Selina Laramee?" They lived in Crystal Falls, Michigan, and then moved to the Minneapolis, Minnesota area? If so, my grandmother was their daughter. Please confirm that we are speaking about the same person. Thanks.

I am looking for information about Onesime Leveille, who later changed his name to Joseph LeVoir. He was born about 1861 in MI and died 1916 in MN. His parents were Onesime Leveille and Felicite Robilliard who immigrated from Canada. I believe he had a brother, Albert Leveillie, who was born 1872 and died 1956 in Negaunee, MI. Their last name seems to be spelled many different ways. Any info about the Leveille/Leveillie/Leveillier/Levoir would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe you already know this, so just for the benefit of other researchers :

Thomas GAREAU (son of Bernard Gareau & Suzanne Mornay) was married three times :

1st m. 08 Feb. 1773 L'Assomption (L'Assomption co.) Quebec
BRIEN dit DESROCHERS, Archange (Louis & Josephte Senecal)

2nd 01 June 1790 St.Roch de l'Achigan (L'Assomption co.)
BERTRAND dite CARON, Marie-Judith (Joseph & Marie Degré dit Langevin)*

3rd 26 Oct. 1801 St.Roch de l'Achigan
RITCHOT, Marie-Anne (Pierre-Louis & Marie Claire Lefebvre) widow of Joachim Lemyre dit Marsolais

* In the marriage record, Judith Bertrand's parents are named Francois Bertrand and Marie Langlois. However, this is an error made by the parish priest. According to her marriage contract, Judith' parents (who are not named, as her deceased father is represented by her uncle Francois Bertrand and his second wife Marie-Ursule Labrie) are Joseph Bertrand and Marie-Josephte Degré dit Langevin, married 07 Jan. 1768 at St-Antoine de La Baie du Febvre.

Feel free to contact me for more details on this case.

Abraham Leveille of Ste. Flavie, Quebec

Does anyone know anything of an Abraham Leveille who would have been born in the early 1800's and had daughters by a first wife Marie Louise Pouliot (one of the daughters was my great grandmother, Marie Louise) and some others (?) who died of "consumption." He remarried and had at least one son, Joseph, who died in Riviere-du-Loup in the late 1950's or early 1960's. Joseph ran a hardware store in R-d-Loup. He had at least one daughter.

Abraham emigrated to MN in the 1800's and bought land there. The Bolduc family of Stephen,MN, is related through Marie Louise Leveille and we would like to get reconnected to this branch of the family.

If anyone has any leads, I'd be very grateful!

Michelle

They were very lovely people.

If anyone has any information or suggestions, I will certainly appreciate hearing from you. Thank you very much.
