Need Help. My GrGr grandfathers name is Charles "Levis" Stringfellow, b 1838 on the 1850 census of Springfield township Chester Pa, Charles Stringfellow (age 11) was living with Charles Levis and family, Does anyone have any family information on this ? In following Charles Stringfellow, It appears as though he adopted the Levis name as a middle name. He was married to Mary Ann Brooks Roe and died in Chester Pa. Another of his descendants also carried Levis as a middle name. Can anyone shed some light on this ?
