William Lewallen and Polly Fore is also my ggg-grandmother. Where did you find that she had adopted all the children out. I have been trying to find their childern in the 1850 census with much difficulty, except for the son David. I am searching for Aquilla Lewallen census 1850 and 1860; anyone find them please let me know.
Since reading your message I looked up some marriages in the area and I found one that could be a possablity. Mary Lewallen and Samuel Prevo a combo of there kids in the 1850 census, but list two lewallen daughters I don't anything about. There are also several other Lewallens living nearby.
