I am yet searching for roots of the Lewellen/Luellen family all we can find out about the roots of the family is that it starts with Levi Lewellen in the state of Mississippi and Conley Lewellen allso in marshall county Mississippi around 1870 census records shows Conley marries Amanda Dowdy and Levi marring Elizebeth Starks Levi married in 1867 in Ripley and Conley in 1872 in Mississippi we wants to know where Levi and Conley came from and who owned them as slaves, Conley is reported to have come into marshall county as a slave, conly may have been name conly evan or evin he lived in Early Grove marshall county Mississippi on Dr. I G Bailey plantation he said that according to some family members he was brought in from North Carolina through Kentucky any one having any information thats helpful thanks in advance (dudley.lewellen@gmail.com)
