Hi am new to this so not sure what i am doing, If anyone can give me advice i would be grateful. I am look for my DadI know his passed away in Oct. of 1997 anyone who knows a William Harold Lewellyn Born in April 1934 and he was married to a Lillian Marie Hale out of Ky. not sure on all the dates. they had 4 girls all born in Ky. I know he remarried To a woman named Emma Stewart and moved to Ca. Not sure on the rest but anything would be helpful.

In an Idaho second-hand shop i found a bunch of old, mostly unidentifiable photos. But one did say on the back "Grandma Sipworth's sister - Maude & Joe Lewellyn." A young man and a pretty girl, probably in their twenties, taken 1890-1900 I'd guess. No clue to where it was taken. According to family lore, there is something about an escape from South America and some lost fortune. If anyone has any information on this line or if anyone knows the whole story on the lost fortune, please let me know.

A Miss Francis Galway married a George Luellen. they appeared to live in Indiana during late 1800s and until about 1941. I think I located Census on correct family. until in 1920 descendants I believe had different spelling of name posted. I believe a Ralph and a Ruth spelling Lewellyn may be their grandchildren. I would like to locate this family and exchange info Re Galway if it is same line.

She was born 4 Aug 1901 Heidnerhemier, TX; died August 1984 mount Pleasant, Titus, TX. Lera married Claude Elmer Wood about 1921 and they lived around Bell Co, TX. They were listed in the 1930 census in Bell Co, TX and had a daughter, Wathana, daughter Claudie J. and a son Milton. I am tracing Lera for my grandson's memory book and would like to give him information about his great-grandmother's heritage.

I am Marilyn's sister, Tammy. I was again trying to find something on Sherman and came to your reply to Marilyn. I have tried for about 3 years to find info on Sherman, but it was like he dropped of the face of the earth. I remember Aunt Mabel a little, but I cannot remember anyone else, other than my grandmother, (Sherman's wife, Laura). Would you be willing to share your info on LR with me. If not, can you steer me in the right direction? Was LR's name Reece Sherman Lewellyn? If that's the case, then I have been looking under his middle name.

Lewellyn's of Genesee County, New York

After three years of searching, the family has been found. They lived in Bergen, Genesee County, New York. The first to the area was Lewis,who married Elizabeth Gerhardt. They had 13 children. One of those 13 children was Levi, who married Maria Ward, took over the two farms in Bergen when Lewis no longer could. Later, one of his sons, Clarence Lewellyn who married Nettie Tompkins, was the last to run the farms in Bergen. With this, I was able to find my grandmother, Effie Lewellyn who had married James LeRoy Smith.
Just returned from a trip to the area where much information was found. Also, a visit to the Mt. Rest Cemetery in Bergen where the family plots are located.
If anyone would be interested in what I have found, please feel free to e-mail me.
There are many collateral names as well, with most having been from the same area.

Hi, I am in search of my paternal grandmother. Her name is Effie Llewellyn and I believe she was born in Batavia, New York maybe between 1881 and 1886. She married James Leroy Smith of Washington, DC and had two children, Leta Llewellyn and James Arthur Smith, my father.
I believe she died in Washington, DC about 1911 or a few years later.

Hi, I have a copy of some Scott Co., TN Deeds from 20 July 1852 and they mention James S. Duncan and Russell Lewallen to Andrew Lewallen $50. for 500 acres etc. witnessed by WJ Scott and H. Lewallen.

Same TN Deeds dated 22 July 1855 lists Herod Lewallen of Scott Co, TN to James S. Duncan of Morgan Co, TN $200. land on aters of New River and Brimstone Creek, Old Campbell Co. Line.
