I have a death certificate which is puzzling me, for Mary Lewthwaite, widow of James Lewthwaite, moulder. Mary died in Halifax workhouse in 1878. I haven't been able to trace a James Lewthwaite of the right period who fits the description.

I will happily pass on the certificate to any descendant who can give me some information to help me pin down which branch of the family this couple belonged to.
