I'm also looking for information on his ancestors--his father was Lewis Lazott, born 1793 in NY. On that side, his grandfather is Louis Alwxander Lezotte, born 15 Feb, 1752 in Quebec.
Louis Alexander was married to Mary Polly Monty, born circa 1758 in Albany, NY
His mother was Maranda Clark born 1806 in Clinton Co., NY
